I am a painter and printmaker fascinated by autobiography and the duplicity of memories!
I am the centre of my imaginative world, taking part in the drama of myself, but
conscious of inner selves and outer layers of reality.
I am also tied to the art of the past, but intent on taking risks to find new ways
of achieving likenesses in the 21st century. Although my work is underpinned by traditional
techniques, I also use digital photography and computer manipulation to challenge
and surprise myself.
I am increasingly interested in the multiple format. In its complexity and intervals
of distance I am experimenting with ideas about time and space, trying to create
a more substantial role for the images themselves.
